Applesauce Cake

This applesauce cake is quick and easy to make. We eat it for breakfast at our house!



Applesauce Cake
Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 cup chilled applesauce

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

  • ½ cup raisins

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.

    2. Beat sugar and butter together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Add applesauce; beat well. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves until just combined. Fold in walnuts and raisins; spoon cake batter into the prepared pan.

    3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Serve warm.
